.. and this is what we look

like ..

Starting at ‘The Swan’ - which is in the centre of the village .. and at the centre of village life, for many. And opposite, a row of cottages joined together .. “Batch Cottages” Just a liitle further along, and nestled next to the bridge over Hockley Brook is ..  “Brook Cottage” Not all properties are ‘black and white’, some still feature their brick construction, such as .. “Elizabeth Cottage” Although given an uncomfortably ‘modern’ appearance following it’s conversion into flats and appartments, ‘Harkaway House’ was originally .. “The Workhouse” ! Moving in the other direction, and showing many of it’s timber beams is .. “Beams End”, then, “The Talbot” Inn, and, opposite, Lychgate House, with, behind it, the ‘Old Grammar School’, and, before the main road, ‘The Old Police House’, and ‘Charity Houses’. So there’s plenty to see and do; three pubs - in the village - and plenty more  round-and-about; Hotels and B&Bs, Historic Houses, and lots of lovely countryside.
